Tell It to the Bees (2018) is a British drama directed by Annabel Jankel, based on Fiona Shaw’s novel of the same name. Set in 1950s Scotland, the film follows the unexpected romance between Dr. Jean Markham (Anna Paquin), a reserved town doctor, and Lydia Weekes (Holliday Grainger), a struggling single mother.
After Lydia’s young son Charlie befriends Jean and discovers her beekeeping hobby, Lydia and Jean grow closer, with Jean offering support during Lydia’s difficult separation.
